Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Affirming and compassionate therapy for individuals seeking healing and happiness

About

We were all children once.

And I believe the experiences of our childhoods have a lasting impact on the adults we become. Maybe you are the child of a parent who tried their best but did not have the tools or capacity to help you understand your emotions. Maybe you are a parent trying to do things differently from your own upbringing. Maybe you are a part of a larger cycle of generational trauma and are feeling the lasting impact of that pain.

I am passionate about supporting my clients in recognizing unhelpful cycles to navigate new paths toward a peaceful life through exploration and healing.

My Approach

Mindful Self-Compassion

When the voice of our inner critic becomes too loud, self-compassion is the key to finding our authentic self. Sessions with me involve an exploration of identifying personal goals, core values, and tools for nurturing self-talk that is kind, accepting, and hopeful.

Trauma-Informed

Difficult or overwhelming events of the past that can create a lasting impact in the present. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where those experiences are recognized and respected, without judgment. By focusing on empathy, safety, and empowerment, you can feel in control of your own healing.

Culture and Identity

As a second generation Asian-American, I understand the importance of honoring an individual’s background, traditions, and cultural values. Specializing in areas of generational trauma and family dynamics, I support my clients in their search for balance between cultural/familial expectations and individual needs in order to promote inner peace.
